Drops, 2019

Flowing, yet static. Distinct, yet alike. Organic, yet man-made. Just a few of the contrasts are embodied by these small glass drops. They are static miniatures so they seem to be frozen in time, however, they make an impression of  movement. Each one flows in a unique way. As in nature?

What makes the constellation pleasing to the eye is its balance which is achieved in two different ways; firstly, through equality of the volumes and secondly, through the choice of a colour, as violet is a harmonious mixture of red and blue. Although the shape of each drop is different, they share a common volume and colour which unites the individual parts into a one piece of art.

The drops are made from cast glass and afterwards hand polished. Each drop has a volume of exactly 0,5 dl.
