Delicate and sinuous upward bodies reflect on the harmonious growth and diversity found in nature. The installation comprises multiple glass entities, each born from the same sustainable process yet emerging in a distinct form and shape. The upward movement symbolizes not only physical growth, but also the aspirational journey of humanity towards greater understanding and interconnectedness with the environment.
Integral to the concept are the recyclability of glass and the reimagining of traditional kiln casting methods. The latter often result in excessive waste, particularly in the form of one-time-use molds. In the process of making the artwork, discarded float glass and reusable molds -made from found and natural materials such as metal, silica, and paper- were used. “Growth” is a reminder of the transformative potential of sustainable practices in shaping a more harmonious relationship between art, environmental responsibility, and the celebration of diversity.
The project was exhibited at an international festival of glass The Venice Glass Week HUB Under35 in September 2025, in Venice, Italy.
