Meta Mramor is an early-career Slovenian visual artist focused on the intersection of glass with other media—ceramics, installation, and performance. She holds both a graduate and postgraduate degree in applied arts from the Studio of Glass and Ceramics at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She further complemented her studies in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Estonia. In the academic year 2023/2024, she has been a lecturer in the Department of Applied Arts at the Academy in Ljubljana. Currently, she is enrolled in the Doctoral School of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, where she explores the role of glass in society.
Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at The Venice Glass Week (IT, 2024), membra(I)nes - 12th Annual Conference (DE, 2023), Glass European Context 2021 (DK, 2021), and the 20th Biennial of Ceramics Beograd (RS, 2020). She was awarded the Symington Family Estates Glassberries Design Award 2022 (PT, 2022) and nominated for the STRABAG Artaward International 2024 (AT, 2024). Mramor is currently based in Wrocław, Poland.
